Sarah Brightman (born 14 August 1960) is an British classical crossover soprano, actress, songwriter and dancer from England. Because she has sung in many languages which are English, Spanish, French, Latin, German, Italian, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Occitan, she is proven one of the multilingual singers. In addition to singing the different versions of "The Phantom of the Opera" with male singers, Brightman was the first actress to play Christine Daaé in the Andrew Lloyd Webber version of the musical play itself.
